This research aims to build an overview of national and international research on emotional self-regulation in the cognitive social perspective, through an integrative literature review, considering the period from 2008 to 2019; identifying what the authors have approached about this theme and pointing out possible gaps. With a quantitative, this study appropria ted a frequency analysis using the NodeXL software, which generated a graph with data of centrality measures adopted in order to highlight the most relevant constructs. The results pointed to five analyzed articles that presented the relevance of four constructs: Emotional intelligence; Emotional competence; Emotion regulation; Coping These data demonstrate that the literature has stated that the subject who is capable of self-regulating emotionally has satisfactory emotional intelligence, and is competent to face situations that can generate a negative emotional state. In addition, it is necessary to invest in programs that stimulate emotional competence in individuals to ensure effective management of emotions.Item Acesso aberto (Open Access) Resiliência familiar: o olhar de professores sobre famílias pobres(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2018-12) MATOS, Larissa Araújo; CRUZ, Edson Júnior Silva da; SANTOS, Thamyris Maués dos; SILVA, Simone Souza da CostaThis research aims to describe the professor’s perspective about family resilience of their student’s family. The methodological resources encompassed both quantitative and qualitative research procedures, consulting documental sources and the websites of the Department of Federal Revenue of Brazil and the Federal Senate to gather general financial data, and the website of the Higher Education Census to gather financial data about enrollments and higher education institutions. The study has evidenced that an expansion policy occurred for both private and public sectors, and that the private sector received substantial support from the Government, especially through the ProUni and FIES programs, which has contributed to the achievement of profit, while providing a higher education model that dissociates undergraduate education from research and extension activities.Item Acesso aberto (Open Access) As linhas que tecem o aprender e o ensinar em ciências(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2018-04) RAMOS, Maria Neide Carneiro; BRITO, Maria dos Remédio deThis essay aims to think about learning in science teaching. This field, often closed to different readings, is influenced by teaching methods developed in lines of thinking born with modern science, that we call here State or Imperial Science. It leads science teaching through scientific methods and produces recognition learning. However, something evolves from the recognizable and Imperial Science and, involved with another type of science that we call here Nomad Science, makes the thought experience multiplicities, singularities, in the learning process. With this process in mind, this essay attempts to highlight a learning mode that is traversed by a zigzag line, which fosters a strange variation in teaching and learning. This line, by its moving nature, produces a problematic field triggered by events, encounters, signs that signal a sensitive mobility, producer of affections in Science teaching.Item Acesso aberto (Open Access) Adolescent perceptions of stress and future expectations(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2017-04) FLORÊNCIO, Cybelle Bezerra Sousa; RAMOS, Maély Ferreira Holanda; SILVA, Simone Souza da CostaAdolescence has been described as a developmental phase marked by challenges, tensions, and uncertainties that can generate stress and lower adolescents' future expectations. I have conducted our research in Revista Criança, an official publication of the Ministry of Education, first national journal for this field. Our bibliographical and document research took place from 2003 to 2006 - period of my PhD, taking as the base for this research: legislation, documents, interviews and the Magazine itself, published between 1982 and 1985. Fourteen magazines served as basis for this education policy within that period, supported on the Theory of Human Capital, which, in the education field, is expressed through technicist pedagogy. The magazine does not question the prejudice against the poor people nor the authoritarianism and anticipates the education for children in pre-school education.Item Acesso aberto (Open Access) O debate francês acerca da instrução pública e seus desdobramentos no Brasil(2015-12) MALHEIROS, Rogério Guimarães; ROCHA, Genylton Odilon Rêgo daThis article aims to analyze historical aspects of political, ideological and conceptual issues that were present in the discussions concerning French National Education in the late eighteenth century, emphasizing the proposals of Rapport of Condorcet in 1792, as the basis of this kind of debate during the revolutionary process in France. We focused, therefore, on analyzing the discursive privileges of these proposals and the events arising from it that resulted in even more new proposals, including those of Romme, Robespierre, Lepelletier and Lakanal. This is an approach that gives us the understanding of the modern basis of the debate on public education that was configured in the nineteenth century. This competition of ideas among French people was configured as the great theoretical legacy for modern education systems, including the Brazilian. We concluded also that the education defended in France was permeated by the ideals of reason, moral and scientism.Item Acesso aberto (Open Access) O contexto das brincadeiras das crianças ribeirinhas da Ilha do Combu(2008) TEIXEIRA, Sônia Regina dos Santos; ALVES, José MoysésThis study describes the context of plays among preschoolers on Combu Island, near Belém, PA, focusing on aspects of physical and social environment as well as the main activities of adults and the peculiarities of the make-believe play. The children and their relatives were interviewed, and the group was observed while playing at their homes. The play was analyzed with reference to the themes, their peer group, the location, the objects involved, and the implicit meaning in each activity. Although the children were in close contact with an urban setting, they showed a strong affinity with their riverine environment.Item Acesso aberto (Open Access) Fatores de risco e proteção na escola: reprovação e expectativas de futuro de jovens paraenses(2014-08) NUNES, Tatiene Germano Reis; PONTES, Fernando Augusto Ramos; SILVA, Lúcia Isabel da Conceição; DELL’AGLIO, Débora DalboscoIn this study we investigate the relations existing amid school failure, perceptions concerning the school and expectations of future among young people, from data of a sample of 610 young people with ages between 14 and 24 years (m=16,56; dp=2,37), of both sexes, students from public schools of Belém city in Pará state. A questionnaire with 77 multiple choice questions was used. The results revealed that almost half of students already presented school failure, although they present good perception concerning the school. Correlations between school disapproval and low expectations of academic future and between good perceptions concerning the school and best academic expectations were observed. The expectation of having access to the university appeared more associated to female sex. The results may contribute to the understanding of the importance of the school in promoting protective factors in the learners development.Item Acesso aberto (Open Access) Uma fotografia, múltiplas imagens: a educação rural no norte do Brasil(2010-12) ARAÚJO, Sônia Maria da SilvaThe article addresses the processes by which schools have been established and institutionalized on extensive-grazing ranches in rural Soure, Marajó Island, Brazil. Emergence of these schools has been tied to large landholdings and to the political relations between ranchers, vaqueiros, and government. Theoretical reflections, social data, and events are placed side-by-side with photographs that depict the fragile state of public education available to children living in the rural areas of far northern Brazil.Item Acesso aberto (Open Access) Educação republicana sob a ótica de José Veríssimo(2010) ARAÚJO, Sônia Maria da SilvaThis article associates the studies about educational thought in Brazil. We approach the interpretations of José Veríssimo on the national problems of the Brazilian education in the end of the 19th century and beginning of the 20th century. Our intention is to present and analyze these interpretations, carried through in the First Republic. José Veríssimo was born in Óbidos, Pará, in 1857, and died in Rio de Janeiro, in 1916. He spent part of his intellectual life in Pará and another part in the capital of the Republic, where he established and participated actively in the Brazilian Academy of Letters (ABL) and in the Brazilian Magazine (Revista Brasileira). The author was an important studious man in the discussions on the consequences of the Portuguese colonialism and the frustrated attempts to have some republican politics of education in Brazil. For José Veríssimo, the public education would have strategically overcome the racial degenerations promoted by the settling in Brazilian backlands. The "Brazis" that sociologically made the domestic territory to that time are thought by Veríssimo as an impediment to be overcome by the Republic for the insertion of the Country in the modern order that for him meant civilization. But this so called civilization would be effective under his perspective, as all the Brazilians were included in a project of national unit.Item Acesso aberto (Open Access) Transgressão do Paradigma da (multi)Seriação como referência para a construção da Escola Pública do Campo(2014-12) HAGE, Salomão Antônio MufarrejThe article analyzes the reality of rural public schools by including their particularities in the broader challenges facing the popular social movements of rural areas. These social movements seek to ensure the right to universal Basic Education with socially relevant quality and affirmative of the sociocultural and territorial diversity that constitute the rural areas in Brazil. It shares the results of studies carried out by the Group of Study and Research in Rural Education in the Amazon - GEPERUAZ, that investigates the reality of rural schools with multigrade classes, considering the paradox between disrepair and precariousness that to a large extent characterize the conditions of existence of these schools and the creative actions taken by teachers and students in school daily life that defy the adverse conditions experienced therein. It indicates references to the transgression of the urban grading teaching paradigm, currently hegemonic in these schools.Item Acesso aberto (Open Access) O Banco Mundial e as políticas educacionais brasileiras(2014-12) MOTA JÚNIOR, William Pessoa da; MAUÉS, Olgaíses CabralThe paper analyzes the document prepared by the World Bank Achieving a World-Class Education In Brazil: The Next Agenda, which performs an assessment of the last twenty years of educational policies implemented in Brazil, and outlines perspectives for the coming years, according to the Bank's conception of education and society. This international body assesses as positive the character of the implemented educational policies and the results achieved in the indicated period. The criteria of the evaluation, the assessment, and the outlined perspective by the World Bank on Brazilian education are questioned and problematized.Item Acesso aberto (Open Access) História das mulheres, história de vida de professoras: elementos para pensar a docência(2014-09) ARAÚJO, Sônia Maria da SilvaThrough two life histories of riverine teachers, this article reflects on teaching that happens in the context of Guajará Archipelago, in Belém of Pará, Brazil. It points out common features between those life histories as sexual violence during childhood, poverty, and schooling in order to demonstrate that teaching cannot be thought out of a wider context of women's constitution. It argues that the women status in this region has historically performed singular possibilities that explain how and why girls who were excluded from the school world for a long period turned into teachers. It demonstrates how being a teacher joins to the social processes of the riverine space, ensuring a whole interrelation process.Item Acesso aberto (Open Access) Práticas pedagógicas e inclusão: a sobrevivência da integração nos processos inclusivos(2013-06) ANJOS, Hildete Pereira dos; MELO, Luciana Barbosa de; SILVA, Kátia Regina da; RABELO, Lucélia Cardoso Cavalcante; ARAÚJO, Marcelo AlmeidaThis work presents an analysis of the inclusive process, revisiting the concepts of pedagogical practice and inclusion. With instruments from the fields of content analysis and discourse analysis, it analyses interviews with specialized care teachers, teachers in mainstream classrooms and managers. It describes inclusion as a concept whose network of meanings varies according to the interests involved, being conceived as a process that involves multiple agents and agencies and requires participation and as idealization, being defined a priori and to be incorporated uncritically. It points to the lack of knowledge of the specificities of learning and the potential of individuals and groups; the survival of the clinical model; the inclusion studies as an appendix of the training process; certain initiatives with more integrative than inclusive character. It intends to focus on the real school, through intervention and participatory research and to redo, from another angle, the issues already formatted on inclusive pedagogical practice.Item Acesso aberto (Open Access) Políticas da educação e sistemas filosóficos: a vontade da exclusão(2004-12) GIORDANO, Rosely CabralThis paper braces, with the help of the thinkers from Frankfurt: Adorno and Horkheimer, a frontal battle against the thought that unifies, excludes and reduces the other thoughts. For this, the category of experience plays the main role: an exercise of sharing with the different, abdicating of domination, in constant search of the full enlightenment movement of the autonomy and the social and political emancipation.Item Acesso aberto (Open Access) Só de corpo presente: o silêncio tácito sobre cor e relações raciais na formação de professoras no estado do Pará(2007-04) COELHO, Wilma de Nazaré BaíaThis text diagnoses one of the most serious problems of education in Brazil: the non-tackling of racial discrimination and prejudice. More than just exposing its existence, it analyses one of its sources: the absence of discussion on race, colour and prejudice in the formation of educators in the State of Pará. On the basis of an analysis of the teachers' formation provided by the Institute of Education of the State of Pará, a secular institution which constitutes a reference for teachers' formation in the State of Pará, this work shows that a good part of the teachers' actions are a consequence of a training that did not deal with fundamental aspects, such as the constitution of Brazilian nationality. We conclude that, despite definite advances forged by social activism regarding the issue of racism since the 1960's, the training of teachers is a factor that continues to contribute to the reproduction of stereotypes and prejudice.Item Acesso aberto (Open Access) Expansão da privatização/mercantilização do ensino superior Brasileiro: a formação dos oligopólios(2010-06) CHAVES, Vera Lúcia JacobThe main objective of this article is to present a critical analysis of the post-1996 LDB (Law of Basic Tenets and Guidelines of Brazilian Education) educational policies regarding the expansion of higher education in Brazil. It seeks to identify and discuss the new configurations of that expansion. It focuses more particularly on the creation of nets of educational firms from 2007 on, showing that the acquisition or merging of Brazilian higher education private institutions by national and international educational firms that went public has yielded oligopolies. Its methodological resources come from a variety of documental sources, in particular websites of educational firms and the Brazilian traditional and electronic news agencies. Its final considerations point out some tendencies towards the mercantilization of higher education in Brazil.Item Acesso aberto (Open Access) Instituições de formação profissional - história e perspectivas: o projeto da nova institucionalidade da educação profissional brasileira dos anos 1990(2014-03) ARAUJO, Ronaldo Marcos de LimaThis article problematizes the project of the "new intitutionalism of professional education", present on different federal programs during the governments of President Fernando Henrique Cardoso´s Government, which were meant to promote an extensive renovation of the professional education. We focused on the effects of different programs of professional education in the city of Belém, state of Pará, in the period of 1995 and 2003. We could verify that these programs had been guided by references identified with Pragmatism. And by means of observation and interviews, we could also verify that the renewal of professional education had not been accomplished and that the most evident product of the set of actions undertaken had been the reproduction of the ideas that professional education must be subordinated to the immediate interests of the market. We conclude indicating that a new professional education is still to be constructed.
