Aiming the evaluation of listener-behavior training on speaker-behavior, specifi cally if individuals with hearing impairment and cochlear implant would: (a) learn audio-visual conditional discriminations with conventional and non-conventional words; (b) form stimulus classes; (c) present generalized responses to other audio frequencies; and (d) transfer the acquired hearing competences to speaker repertoires, two adults with post-lingual hearing loss and cochlear implant were exposed to a seven phases’ matching to sample conditional discriminations teaching program consisting of: 1) Pre-training of auditory-visual tasks using fading out; 2) Pre-test of naming to evaluate the speaker behavior, 3) Teaching relations between dictated words and fi gures; 4) Teaching relations between dictated and written words, 5) Test of class formation; 6) Test of hearing generalization; 7) Post-test of naming. The participants learned the directly taught relations, demonstrated class formation and generalization. Comparing pre- and post-tests, they showed higher correspondence between their speaker behavior and verbal community’s speaker behavior. The possibilities of this methodology for speaking rehabilitation in this population is discussed.

Seleção do comportamento por justificativas constituintes de regras
(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2017-12) ALBUQUERQUE, Luiz Carlos de; PARACAMPO, Carla Cristina Paiva
Considering that the distinction between the effects of stimuli that are constituent of rules and of reinforcement contingencies in the determination of behavior is not clear, this study attempts to clarify such a distinction by the presentation of the Theory of Control by Justifi cations and by Immediate Consequences (TJC Theory). This theory, grounded in experimental results, comprises the following concepts, as defi ned in previous studies: formal properties of verbal stimuli; rules; behavior; social environment; verbal social environment; nonverbal social environment; immediate consequences; justifi cations; justifi cation Types 1, 2, 3, 4, and 5; approval or disapproval by justifi cation and by immediate consequences; rules with and without reported justifi cations; future events that may or may not be contacted; and control histories of the listener by (a) immediate differential consequences, (b) differential justifi cations, and (c) the interaction between justifi cations and immediate differential consequences for following rules and for not following rules. The theory postulates the establishment of limits between what should be attributed to functions of stimuli as constituent of rules and what should be attributed to functions of stimuli as constituent of reinforcement contingencies. TJC Theory also postulates that justifi cation can select behavior.

Testing proposition by aiming on the listener’s history critical characteristics that may meddle on the discrepant-rule following, eight college students were exposed to a matching to sample procedure. The task was to point to the three comparison stimuli in a sequence. In Phase 1 no sequence was instructed or reinforced. Phase 2 begun with the rule corresponding to the contingencies. Contingencies effective in Phase 2 were shifted without warning in Phase 3. Contingencies in Phase 3 were kept unchanged in Phase 4, which started with the presentation of a discrepant rule. Six out of eight participants showed an independent behavior and two out of eight showed a dependent behavior from its immediate consequences in Phase 3. From those six out of eight participants showing an independent behavior, four managed to follow the discrepant-rule in Phase 4. And from the latter two out of eight showing a dependent behavior, all of them abandoned the discrepant-rule following in Phase 4. It is suggested that the behavior’s dependence and independence to its immediate consequences, before the discrepant-rule presentation, are critical variables of the listener’s history that may be used to foresee maintenance, or not, from the subsequent discrepant-rule following.

Use of virtual questionnaire and dissemination as a data collection strategy in scientific studies
(Programa de Pós Graduação em Enfermagem, Universidade Federal de Santa Catarina, 2016-10-24) CASTRO, Fabiana Faleiros Santana; KÄPPLER, Karl Christoph; PONTES, Fernando Augusto Ramos; SILVA, Simone Souza da Costa; GOÉS, Fernanda dos Santos Nogueira de; CUCICK, Cibele Dias
This study describes the use of online questionnaires and their virtual dissemination as a data collection strategy in Germany. The online questionnaire was elaborated using a virtual platform, creating a link that was disseminated in virtual environments. Participants were 100 Germans with Spina Bifida; 149 people visited the link, 83 of them coming from virtual forums, 27 from emails, 26 from social networks, ten from the German association of spina bifida site and three from the university website. With 55.7% of the participants, the virtual forum was the most agile dissemination medium to capture the data. This data collection mode should be used in future research, involving different countries, due to the speed, saving, good use of answers and help to overcome the language barrier. Public policies that support people’s access to the Internet are necessary, so that these studies can be conducted successfully.

Collective efficacy of teachers refers to the way faculty members judge the capabilities of this group to perform the specific tasks of the ir function. This study aimed to systematic ally review studies on collective teacher efficacy from a social cognitive perspective. The refore, articles in the CAPES database published between 2010 to 2014were reviewed .The survey resulted in 12 articles which contemplated pre-established inclusion criteria. The results indicated by means of analysis of the objectives of the articles that the variables most commonly used to study the collective teacher efficacy were: self-efficacy and job satisfaction. It was also noted that the majority of the studies useda quantitative approach, indicating a necessity to expand the studies applying qualitative techniques.

Mapeamento de competências do psicólogo escolar
(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2017-08) SANTOS, Dielem Cristina Oliveira dos; MENEZES, Aline Beckmann de Castro; VASCONCELOS NETO, Aécio de Borba; RAMOS, Camila Carvalho; COSTA, Thiago Dias
This article aimed to perform the mapping of skills of the school psychologist. For that, a survey and analysis of bibliographical production and official documents were carried out to discuss its performance. During the analysis, competencies assessed as necessary for the performance of this professional were suggested and described and after this, the frequency with which the competencies appeared in the several analyzed publications was counted and organized. From the identification of several performance models, categories were created in which the corresponding competencies were established. The large number of competencies identified and the need to create categories suggest a lack of clarity regarding the performance of the school psychologist. It was also noticed an increase in the number of works elaborated in the last decade in the attempt to delimit the performance of this professional.

This article is a literature review, seeking a conversation between Henri Bergson and Gilles Deleuze, to problematize the intuition of research in Psychology and the becoming child. Opening this conversation brings relevant clues that allow you to move paths and move territories to make think beyond the die, suspending previous judgments. Thus, it is possible to invent concepts and make a scattered attention through the practice of research in Psychology, leaving the essences, linear and causal logics. Becoming a child is to act as a force in the data cast, at random, in which the virtual actualizes itself without repeating and imitating forms. Becoming a child makes it possible to move from resemblance and recognition to daring to create other Psychologies.

Parental Stress and Social Support of Caregivers of Children With Cerebral Palsy
(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2016-08) LIMA, Mayara Barbosa Sindeaux; CARDOSO, Vagner dos Santos; SILVA, Simone Souza da Costa
Stress and social support are relevant variables for understanding the impact of disability on the care relationship. Thus, this study investigates the association between the parental stress index, social support indicators, and the sociodemographic variables of caregivers of children with cerebral palsy in a capital city of the Eastern Amazon. The following instruments were applied to 100 caregivers: the Sociodemographic Inventory, the Gross Motor Function Classification System, the Parenting Stress Index, and the Medical Outcomes Study Social Support Survey. For data analysis, descriptive statistics were used, in addition to techniques of multivariate analysis. It was found that most participants had high parental stress and a high perception of social support. Specific aspects of the perception of social support and sociodemographic indicators were associated with stress. This knowledge favors the design of more assertive interventions because it outlines the aspects of these variables that appear to have a more effective impact on parental stress.

The present study sought to replicate systematically a previous article, seeking to verify functional class formation with olfactory stimuli in two domestic dogs. We conducted repeated yoked reversals of simple discriminations training, with only one pair of stimuli per trial and with greater experimental control in olfactory stimuli positioning. Despite adequate responses to reversals of function, there was no evidence for functional class formation in this study. It is argued that the required response to the dogs, the type of olfactory stimuli used, the frequency of training and the equipment used to present the stimuli may have hampered the task.

Speech has been regarded as a social communicative modality required for building relationships in different contexts and cultures. Nevertheless, this is not always a readily available resource, especially for those who have developmental disorders. In this sense, Augmentative and Alternative Communication resources and strategies have been used by nonspeaking students with disabilities as useful tools to achieve greater social participation in different environments. Therefore, the present study examined the interaction between teachers and a student with cerebral palsy before and after the use of Alternative Communication strategies in the classroom. The study had a quantitative and qualitative nature and was designed as an intervention study. There were four main stages: 1) filming before the introduction of the resources in the classroom, 2) training the school teachers 3) providing technical assistance regarding the use of alternative communication to the child's teacher 4) filming teacher-student interactions using these technological resources. The interactions were transcribed and grouped into links. In this research, a link means the initiator's behavior directed to the exchange partner and the response in sequence from the interlocutor back to the initiator. It was found that the established interactions presented a maximum of four links, with greater frequency for episodes of 1st and 2nd links. After the intervention, there were different contexts with the presence of interactions up to the 6th link, often greater frequency for episodes of 1st, 2nd and 3rd links. In addition, the teacher showed a tendency to use symbols only as a tool for evaluating and teaching concepts. This perception changed as the teacher became familiarized with the Augmentative and Alternative Communication technology resources.

Cerebral palsy is a chronic condition characterized by a predominantly sensory-motor dysfunction involving disturbance in muscle tone, posture and voluntary movement. The aim of this study was to investigate the effect of computerized procedures for teaching conditional relationships with pictures and words printed on generalized recombinational reading with four children. All steps were developed using assistive technology (AT), with the Desenvolve ® software for teaching basic prerequisites. Then, training and reading tests with technology derived from the paradigm of stimulus equivalence were carried out. The results provided evidence that the teaching procedure used promoted generalized recombinational reading of new words. The procedures used suggest that the systematic manipulation of the smaller units than words may be a promising strategy for developing reading recombination, combining the paradigm of equivalence with exercises and AT resources in order to contribute and promote inclusive education of students with CP, expanding their social interactions and downplaying their academic difficulties.

Objective: To study and identify the perception of elderly riverside people of the Amazon region regarding old age. Method: An exploratory, descriptive, qualitative study was performed. Data was collected through interviews with 14 elderly riverside residents of the city of Cametá, Pará, Brazil. A script consisting of characterization data and an interview with semi-structured questions was used, guided by the following questions: "What is aging for you?" and "Is aging good or bad?". The participant observation technique was also used, through a field diary. For data analysis, we opted for thematic-categorical content analysis. Results: Generally, the elderly had a heterogeneous perception of old age. However, all saw it as a process anchored to the naturalness of life, as well as death. Some of the elderly persons associated old age with a phase of life with negative repercussions due to the appearance of functional disorders and limitations and especially the reduction of availability for work. It can be conferred that the majority, even with while displaying some limitations in this stage of life, have clear and well defined coping strategies, such as the recognition of their limitations or family and religious support. Conclusion: The study found that aging is the shared result of the experiences and knowledge of the interaction of the elderly persons with the riverside environment around them, resulting in their cultural differentiation.

The increase in the number of separation/divorce has favored the emergence of new family structures. Thus, remarriage becomes a possibility for developing the family group which requires emotional, social and economic reorganization of the family, as well as greater flexibility to negotiate association, space, time and authority. The objective of this article was to describe the structure and dynamics of a stepfamily having a child with cerebral palsy, based on the members' representations of conflict situations. In this case study focused on a family, made up of three members: mother, son and stepfather. A semi-structured interview and the Family System Test (FAST) were applied. The FAST scores showed closeness in the mother-child dyad and distance in the stepfather-stepson dyad, with the hierarchy focused on the mother figure. As to the flexibility of boundaries, the couple's perception indicated rigid boundaries, both for the family and for parental systems, while the child's perception of the family system revealed diffused boundaries. Therefore, some factors highlighted in the literature and evident in this family such as differences in the couple's life cycle, short period of marriage, emotional baggage between mother and son, added to demands of child care, resources and biopsychological provisions, constituted a rigid standard with low flexibility, which made it difficult to include the stepfather in the group, resulting in less commitment to co-parenting in the care and education of the stepchild.

Research in Brazil has drawn attention to the prevalence of distinct models for creativity that arise from the social background, which are as follows: interdependent, independent and autonomous-relational. In light of this, the purpose of this study is to uncover the socialization goals and expectations of mothers of deaf children with regard to the future of their children. Interviews were conducted with 13 mothers of deaf children enrolled in a deaf public school; the study was carried out using a semi-structured questionnaire (officially recognized in Brazil) comprising questions about the goals and strategies of socialization. The group of participants consisted of the following: low-income mothers residing in an urban environment, with little formal education and aged between 31 and 40. The study reported 20 socialization goals that were divided into the following categories: social expectations, good behavior and self-improvement-in descending order-which suggests a tendency towards a 'sociocentric' dimension. The interdependent category was the predominant model of creativity. With regard to strategies of socialization, 37 were described, one of which (the category centered on itself) obtained the highest score with stress being laid on its cognitive features. It should be understood that although the model of creativity is independent, the strategies were concentrated on the figure of the mother. One possible analytical approach is to examine the linguistic barriers that are caused by deafness and which prevent the child and the environment from being taken into account by mothers as mediators of the children.

The Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) is characterized by impairments in the areas of social interaction, communication, behavior and sensory processing. Aspects related to difficulties in social interaction repertoire, as well as strategies to help them behave more adequately have been widely studied. Among these strategies, those using music have received attention. The present study aims to investigate the benefits of music education to the social interaction of children with ASD, with their peers, focusing on both the quality and frequency of these behaviors. Two ASD children, aged 5 and 6 years respectively, who attended a percussion class group, participated in the study. The Demographics and Development information enabled the children´s profiles to be drawn. The social interaction behaviors were coded using a Behavioral Observation Protocol during 8 sessions (240 minutes). The results suggest that both tended to increase initiatives and spontaneous responses and to decrease non-functional behaviors as the sessions progressed. It was found that stereotypies were used by the ASD children when attempting to interact with others, albeit sporadically. The role of context, of the children's profile and of adult behavioral management of children in promoting interactions was highlighted.

This study aims to present a bibliographical review on national studies about curricular teaching to blind students. A systematic search was performed on three databases: Scholar Google, Scielo and Lilacs, filtering studies published from 2004 to 2014 that held in their titles one of the following descriptors: blind students; visually impaired students; blind children; visually impaired children. We retrieved 188 articles, of which 56 were selected according to the established criteria. After a careful reading of all selected articles, 5 analysis categories were outlined: type of study; participants; type of approach; type of discussion and curricular matrices. We also outlined subcategories within each category, with a total of 26 subcategories. Results show that Scholar Google was the database with a higher number of studies found (188/156); Scielo, however, shows a better efficiency in the relation retrieved x selected (12/10). When analyzing the subcategories, the most frequent were empirical studies (22); children (19); qualitative analyses (21); within the curricular matrices of Physical Education (7) and Math (4), presents concern with teacher education (12). Studies are convergent in pointing out that the major difficulties on teaching to blind and visually impaired students refer to poor teacher training, when, normally, there is no discussion on the teaching and producing material to work with this specific population. Finally, in addition to mapping studies that have been carried out with blind students in the past ten years, this article points out to gaps in the literature and directs future investigations in this area.
